Discover the Power of Jesus as Our Advocate!
Dear Readers,
Have you ever felt lost, confused, or alone? As Christians, we often look to Jesus as our guide, our savior, and our friend. But did you know that He also serves as our Advocate? In this edition of our newsletter, we will explore the Biblical names of Jesus, focusing on His role as our Advocate and what that means for us.
As we dive into this topic, we will discover the power and significance of having Jesus as our Advocate. From 1 John 2:1, we read, "My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:"KJV.
Did you know that Jesus not only died for our sins, but He continues to intercede for us before God? He stands as our defense, pleading our case and offering us forgiveness and grace. This truth alone should fill us with hope and reassurance.
But what else can we learn from Jesus as our Advocate? Here are three key takeaways for you to ponder and apply in your life:
1. We have a constant source of support and guidance. Just as a lawyer advocates for their client, Jesus advocates for us before God. He is always there to guide us, protect us, and lead us.
2. Our Advocate knows us intimately. Jesus not only knows our sins and faults but also our hearts and struggles. He is our High Priest who empathizes with our weaknesses and offers us understanding and compassion.
3. We can rest in the assurance of our salvation. With Jesus as our Advocate, we can have confidence that our sins are forgiven and our salvation is secure. We can trust in His righteousness and be assured of our place in God's family.
As we reflect on these truths, let us not forget to thank Jesus for His role as our Advocate. We are also called to be advocates for others, following His example of love and grace.
Thank you for taking the time to read this edition of our newsletter. We hope it has been both educational and inspiring. We would love to hear your thoughts and feedback, so please feel free to reach out to us. In our next edition, we will continue to explore more of the Biblical names of Jesus. Stay tuned for more exciting content!
In Christ's love,
Pastor Karon
